Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Alastor glanced up from his computer screen at her question. How to phrase that answer without being too revealing of the delicate nature of her future. "You unique skill set and mastery of them, determines your placement in Ryker's organization. That is all I know, the rest is classified information and I'm not privy to it all." He said factually.

Layla's soft sorry drew Leverett from his reverie. As he blinked to rejoin the now, he soon frowned to find her back at the ledge again. She looked so isolated and utterly alone. It broke his heart to see her so withdrawn. He stood to come over to her slowly. He didn't want to surprise her, by any means. He only wanted to comfort her in the only way he knew at the moment, with his presence. He looked over the edge and swallowed hard, it was awfully high. He then focused upon the waves as they surged and retreated. "You see those waves down there? How they violently chew at the rock of this island? It's a deafening battle for supremacy. Some would think the rock is stronger, but they would be wrong. It's actually the water. Where the water lacks the rocks mass, it has volume. The ocean's fluidity is ever changing relentlessness. It wins through perseverance and using the rock's unchanging nature aginst itself. Layla, are you the rock or the water?" He stated to fill the void with a metaphor for life.

Willow leaned forward until she laid out flat on top of him. "Oh no, did I break you, poor baby?" She purred in his ear. She snuggled into his bare back and rested her cheek on his shoulder blade. "That would not be a hardship, I quite like you where you are, Adrian." She said longingly.

Eliana rolled her eyes, of course he would give her some vague answer that didn't really answer anything. "What the hell skill set is that supposed to be? All i have are these claws, oh and canines, woo really scary. I have seen some of his experiments I somehow don't see how I am going to be of any use to him. Oh wait, if he needs someone to hurl insults then I guess that would be my skill." She snorted and just stared back up at the ceiling. Hell maybe she was going to develop some other awesome power but that seemed unlikely.

Layla heard Leverett walk up behind her, she felt his presence at her side. She didn't look over at him, she had no idea what to say. She felt she was being selfish thinking her life was so terrible, she had only heard bits and pieces of his life, who was she to judge his life, or think that she was the only one to have suffered. So she just stood there in silence, she was happy to have him there though, he made her feel grounded. Then he opened his mouth, if she hadn't been in a such a weird mood already feeling both guilty and upset at the same time, she might not have minded his metaphor. She knew what he was trying to do, but for whatever reason she snapped instead of having the desired reaction.
"Oh for the love of god I don't have any damn idea if I am a rock or the waves! If I knew what to do with myself, or how to fix my emotional problems I am pretty sure I would have done something about it by now." She shouted at him as she gestured wildly and then turned and stormed a little ways away. She stood there fuming, her claws slid out of her fingers and she clenched her hands until blood dripped out onto the ground. She then lifted her hands up to her head and dug her bloody fingers into her hair, she tilted her head back and let out an angry, frustrated and then anguished scream before dropping to the ground. She let her hands fall to the ground at her side, her bloody blond hair flowing in the wind behind her.

Adrian sighed happily, he could feel the heat radiating out of her and into his bare skin. He would have happily stayed there too for as long as he was allowed. But he knew that he would eventually have to head back to his room. But for now he just enjoyed the moment. He gathered himself and rolled over, then he pulled her to him and held her close. "Told you I was also an exceptional cuddler." he said as he wrapped his arms around her. "As much as I want to stay I am probably going to have to head back to my own room sometime soon." he said almost sad it had to be done at all.

"I'm sorry I'm crying, you make me emotional it seems." Vasper apologized meekly. He couldn't even be strong around her, she drew out his weaknesses. He looked away ashamed, yet again in her presence.

"Did you totally just steal my words? It sounded like it." Razeth teased playfully. He was amazed they felt the same way. He leaned in to kiss Laurel affectionately.

"Oh? You do, do you? Careful which side you chose little canine. I'd hate to see you on the losing side." Indigo snarled as he pulled his arm free and slipped past Andorra to leave.

"Whoa! What got in his panties?" Andorra asked with wide eyes and a chuckle.
"Don't be sorry." Amaryllis requested quietly. She gently turned his face towards hers. "If I didn't see you cry I would be tempted to believe you weren't human. But because you do I know that you care for me deeply, and that means the world to me." She admitted, becoming emotional herself.

Laurel smirked mischievously before leaning forward to accept the affectionate gesture pleasantly.

"Mind your own business!!!" Cyra barked out at Andorra before leaving the room and slamming the door behind her. "Indigo! Wait."

Alastor couldn't answer questions with anything definitive. "I can send you back to you room if my presence is upsetting you. I kept you here because I thought the interaction would be good. But I see now the error of my assumption. " He said quietly.

Leverett hadn't expected Layla reaction. So as she turned to storm away, he turned quickly after her to stop her, feeling terrible that he'd upset her. So focused on her, when a section of the cliff gave way, he lost his footing. Too surprised to utter a sound at first, when he made to call out, he got the wind knocked out of him as he hit the ledge hard on his way over. He shifted his claw and clawed wildly with his one good arm, but nothing could stop him from slipping downwards, the ground was to weather worn and crumbly. His stomach was in his throat as he free fell. He simply closed his eyes as he felt the weightlessness took him. He gave himself over to it completely and then the pain as his body made impact with unforgiving stone, was pure agony. He was thankful when the blackness swallowed him with unconsciousness.
(He hit a ledge about three stories down. )

"Nope! You can never leave. I've decided that you need to cuddle with me forever. " Willow said stubbornly. She giggled softly as she held on to him tighter. "They'll have to pry me off of you." She told him with determination.

Razeth was almost smitten in his happiness with Laurel. Her soft kiss only cemented his levity. "Thank you kindly, ma'am!" He said with an accent.

Andorra winced first at the statement and second at the door being slammed.

Indigo didn't stop, he continued down the hallway. He was in a rage and needed to let it out somehow.

(Poor Leverett just can't catch a break, first his arm now he falls off a cliff. )

Eliana just gave an exasperated huff. She didn't want to be alone, but she was frustrated with his lack of solid answers. "I don't care do whatever your little heart pleases." She said bitterly if she could have crossed her arms she would have. She was foolish to think anyone here was any different, none of them cared, none of them understood.

Layla sat there for a moment letting herself have a moment after letting out all that frustration. She then heard a the crumbling of rock and she looked back curiously in the direction of the sound. She turned in time to see it give way and to see part of Leverett as he went over the edge. She scrambled up and over to the ledge to look down with a startled cry. She had been so stupid and selfish she hadn't thought about him and now he was gone. She made it to the ledge and looked down, Leverett laid motionless several stories down on a ledge. "Leverett?! Are you ok?" She called down her claws dug into the rock face as she looked down anxiously. When he didn't answer or move she panicked, what could she do? She could try to climb down but that would be stupid, she would mostly likely end up killing them both. She looked both directions when she saw no one she looked back down to him wishing in this moment she had been made with wings. "Just keep breathing, please." She pleaded quietly as she got up to leave her only friend in hopes that she could find someone to help her save him. As she ran back to the house she called out as loud as she could. "Help somebody, please!" She yelled as she neared the mansion.

Adrian chuckled as she jokingly clung to him further. "I like your determination and enthusiasm." He replied with a smile as he held her closer. "I would be happy to cuddle with you for a while longer though, until you fall asleep if you like?"

Dimitri just grunted at that, already lost to focus on the game. His competitive nature demanded he win.

Dyrus smirked unabashedly at Haley's attentions, "What is the draw of a distant sunset, when I have the up close gravitational pull of you upon my full attention Haley. Fear not, there'll be other sunsets and even yet more sunrises too. I do not lament it's passing, just the loss of its light upon your loveliness. " He replied quietly as he moved in to taste her kiss fully again.

Ashton smiled as he opened the door and hurried down the stairs to the earthen chamber of the wine cellar. She went to the far wall that was made of cut stone. She paused before she pulled on a levered sconce to slide the door free, before turning to look to Allen. "Ryker felt remorse for making me so toxic and ultimately doomed to always be alone. So he engineered Gideon for me. The Adam to his deadly Eve, so to speak. We grew up with our togetherness as playmates. So imagine my shock when my first kiss was met with indifference. It's not Gideon's fault, really. It's just who he turned out to be. So there you have it, the truth and the secret of our close friendship." She told Allen with a dramatic whisper.
Alexis focused more this time, determined not to be bested by him.

Haley wrapped her arms around his neck as he drew her in. "You should have been a poet," she murmured softly before leaning in to meet his kiss.

"Ah, so it's more of a sibling thing in his eyes," Allen thought aloud when she finished. He looked around the room curiously, taking note of everything.

(Haven't decided how I want to answer the other two posts, so I'm just going to answer this one for now ;) )
"You know what I'm mean." She added, glancing away from Vasper shyly. "I'm very tired, would you be alright with taking me to my room?"

Alastor stoodles up and came over to the gurney. "Look, I'm unable to give you answers I don't possess. You forget, I'm just a doctor under Ryker's employ, I'm not the final say here, he is. That being said, Ryker is less then optimistic of you ever coming around. I'm fighting for you, Eliana. Give me something good to report. Stop attacking the orderlies and cooperate with me. Stop fighting the tests and not only will I get you your books, but I'll let you come here while I work a little each day. It won't be exciting, but at least you'll get out of your cell." Alastor bargained with her. Hoping it was something she wanted to try for.

( Actually all he's doing is catching brakes. :lau I figured it would help with the timeskip coming soon. It's going to interesting who comes to help Layla with him. :caf )

"NO! I'd rather you not leave while I'm sleeping." Willow informed Adrian simply. It would make her too sad to awaken with him gone.

Dimitri was equally determined.

Dyrus smiled behind their kiss at that comment. When they parted he replied teasingly, "looking at that, I missed my true calling. From henchmen to Shakespeare."

Ashton nodded and said, "Yes, except he see everyone that same way. Now the cave is this way. Come along, you're looking at only the wine cellar, silly. " She said matter-of-factly as she turned to step through the threshold of the door. She fumbled with the switch before flipping on the light to reveal the steps that were carved into the stone. It would led them downwards to a fairly large cavern. You could hear the ocean at a distance from the heart of the cave.

"You're sticking your tongue out again," Alexis pointed out, having glanced up just this once. "It's very amusing though, so I've got no objection. Just thought you might like to know."

Haley reached up to brush a strand of hair from his eyes. "Well you'll just have to be my own personal Shakespeare," she said, smiling softly at him.

"Oh." Allen hurried after her, a look of embarrassment on his face at his mistake. The room was still cool, though.
