Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"Kodkod" Donella said, shifting to her tiny 'big' cat form to show her then returning to her human form. "It's a cat native to Chile, very secretive and barely ever seen. They usually are a grey tabby color but I got the melenestick form."
"Aww, I love racoons! " Andorra said pleasantly. She remembered when she was a kid, she used to help them get out of dumpsters with a strategically-placed board so that they could climb out. Expecially the mornings before the trash men came. She smiled happily as Donella showed Lucy her cute form.
"Ooh," Lucy sighed in awe as she looked at Donella's cute feline form. "I've never heard of kodkods, so that's very interesting." Despite their previous interaction, she was warming to the two girls.

" That's one interpretation. But if you want to be misery, then I'll be company." Dimitri replied with humor.

"Many things, like games, reading, sleeping and even enjoy the solitude sometimes." Ashton answered with a thoughtful expression.

(Kind of sort of. ;) )
"Nah, I'll pass," Alexis said decidedly. "But you can be misery, if ya want," she then offered generously.

"Ah. So you'd just like to sit in silence here?" Allen said, looking at her curiously. He could be quiet if that's what she really wanted.

"I'm not sorry for our time together and I'd do it again. I slep like I haven't in years. If only there was a way to have others understand that we need eachother. That our companionship isn't about the carnal sins of the fleash, but about a platonic healing of a deep hurt that only we can sooth in each other." Vasper stated with heartfelt sincerity. But he knew it was impossible given who he was. He stood to go, but paused as he slipped off his outer shirt and handed it to Amaryllis. "I have your scent still on my comforter, it has been helpful. Perhaps my scent will help you without requiring my presence." He said quietly as he balled up the shirt, feeling quite ridiculous at the suggestion. Look at you, you're just a creepy animal Vasper. She's far better off without you near her and you know it's the truth. He thought to himself hatefully. "I'm sorry, I should go now." He replied with conviction.

Razeth listened intently as she read. Not to the story or the words, but to the lull of Laurel's lovely voice. She was thoroughly enjoying the story to the point it transcended mere ink on a page. For it lived in her imagination and through her mannerisms as she animated the words aloud.
Amaryllis smiled warmly to Vasper. His words described perfectly the need that had for one another that she couldn't explain of herself. "Thank you, I'm sure it will bring me comfort." She called softly as she pulled the comforter over her shoulders and pressed the bundled shirt to her chest. "You have nothing to be sorry for." She quickly assured.

"And they both lived happily ever after." Laurel finished with heightened enthusiasm.

"Ooh," Lucy sighed in awe as she looked at Donella's cute feline form. "I've never heard of kodkods, so that's very interesting." Despite their previous interaction, she was warming to the two girls.
Donella smiled and nodded, leaning back against her bed "Most people haven't, and only a very few have seen them in the wild. Very little is actually known about them."

"I would greatly appreciate that. Thank you for offering your help...." Alastor stated as his phone rang. He answered urgently, "Hello Ryker, how bad is he?" He looked to Layla as he listened to Haley explain the situation. "Alright, we'll be ready and waiting for your arrival. I'm heading to Ryker's lab now." He explained as he motioned for Layla to follow him, still on the phone with Haley.

(Sorry for the delay we had to go pick up our minivan. )

Layla followed after Alastor as he spoke over the phone. She greatly wanted to ask how Leverett was doing but instead she just followed and did what she was told. "Just tell me what to do Alastor." She said to him as they entered the lab. She had little in the way of medical training, but she could follow instructions well, and she had spent enough time down here that she knew her way around pretty well.

"Oh and Lucy, she makes the cutest little sounds ever!" Andorra added with a smile.

Dimitri grinned as they continued on their way. His conversations with Alexis were always interesting.

"No, that's not what I meant by that, Allen. You asked what I did down here and that was one of the things I did. Now apparently I don't want silence since I brought you down here." Ashton explained quickly. Why would he think she was being selfish? She wondered to herself.

Vasper shoved a hand through his hair as he turned for the door. "Sleep well Amaryllis." He replied quietly as he shut the door behind him.

Razeth groaned teasingly as he looked to Laurel. "Of course they were happy......that's before the kids came and terrorized the kingdom, but especially the castle." He said with a wink.

"Good night, Vasper." She replied, closing her eyes after he left.

"Whatever." She sighed wearily as set the book aside to choose a new one.

"Sounds good," Haley said before hanging up. Ryker's hands were obviously occupied so she slid the phone in her pocket and hurried her step to catch up with them.
Alastor slipped his phone in his pocket and explained what he knew about Leverett's condition so far. He then moved around in a flurry with Layla's help getting the lab Emergency room ready.

(Don't worry about it. You're not holding us up. Real life first, remember. How's your hubby? He doing okay still? Did they get the guy? :hugs
