Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Amaryllis awoke gently with the sound of laughimg voices in the hall passing her room. She piled the towel she had been wrapped in, and her damp clothing in the corner. She went to her dresser and decided to wear a dress her mother wore when she was young. It was a cotton dress that flared out above her knees and flattered her figure. Checking her reflection in the mirror she realized that the violet fabric made her eyes appear even bluer. She found a ribbon in the top drawer of her dresser and tied up her curly hair so that it would stay out of her face.

(What about the time skip?)
( I had Alastor see them still in the library, so they read to eachother all night. Which is easy to do. Lol! )

Iris awoke early next morning, quickly packing a bag with her swimsuit, some sunscreen, and some other necessities. She had no idea where to meet the twins, so decided to slowly head towards the exit to the yard, hoping to see one of them there. If not, she'd just wait for them at the beach, it was still dark so they could see the sun rise.
Atalanta rapped lightly on Priam's door. "Good morning!" She singsonged, just loud enough for him, if he was in there. She had hardly finished when the door flew open and she was left face to face with a very unhappy looking brother.
"The sun isn't even up yet!" He whispered loudly. "Why are you at my door, singing like a mad woman?" He demanded.
Atalanta dismissed his grumpy tone with a dainty wave of her hand. "Beach, now, mister," she said simply.
He looked confused, so she further explained, "Now don't look so innocent, Priam. We told Iris we'd go for a morning beach walk. Remember? No, of course you don't. Just go get ready and meet me in the foyer in ten. Capeesh?"
Priam rolled his eyes but didn't object. No, he didn't remember, but it was no use arguing. Besides, this could be nice.

Layla slept in her chair with her hand still holding Leveretts loosely. But she didn't sleep very deep due to her own concern for her friend. When his hand flexed in hers and he mumbled she jerked awake and looked sleepy at him. She sat up and rubbed her face as she glanced at him. She gently squeezed his hand as she spoke to him, even though the action pinched her sutures uncomfortably. "You just rest now, your safe and you will heal." She murmured quietly as she rested her chin on her arm where it laid on the edge of his bed. She squeezed his hand once more before closing her eyes, not to sleep so much as just to rest.

Eliana sat on her bed, breakfast had been given to her slid through the slot on her door. This morning it was oatmeal with a side of toast and fruit, and a juice. Nothing too exciting but at least it was prepared well. As she ate she wondered if they had tea or even hot chocolate, she couldn't remember the last time she had some of that. She wondered if she could ask for some with her breakfast if she cooperated. She would have to ask Alastor the next time she saw him, he was currently her link to the outside world.
Leverett roused fully at the sensation of someone holding his hand and the muted pain of his injuries. He blinked to draw focus as he looked around the dimly little room. " Mon Dieu, was my freedom just a dream?" He murmured quietly. That's when he looked to Layla. " Layla?" He asked quietly.

Alastor knocked softly before he opened the food slot in the door and looked into the cell. "Eliana please don't poke my eyes out, I have you some books here. I hope you like my choices. I must seek rest now, but I'll send for you when I return to the lab. I hope you understand, it turned into an all nighter." He said tiredly.

Razeth was about to give up on his story when a last he found it towards the back. "There it is, Beauty and the beast. That's my favorite one. Cheesy, right?" Razeth asked her a little guarded, ready for any radical she may have.
~
Alastor was on his way upstairs to get some much needed rest when he remembered his promise to Eliana. So he made a detour by the library. He looked to a couple sitting there reading from a book, only to realize it was Laurel and Razeth. He smiled slightly at the easygoing moment they were sharing. He kept walking not wanting to disturb them, almost like man on a mission.

Amaryllis opened the door to her room to find Anuerin sitting on the floor outside, asleep. Lowering to her knees, Amaryllis gently brushed Anuerin's hair from his eyes. He awoke, flinching at her touch. "You haven't be here all night have you?" Anuerin opened his eyes to smile half heartedly at his sister. Amaryllis returned his smile when she met his weary gaze. Standing, she helped Anuerin up, and guided him to her bed. Anuerin settled into the bed with Amaryllis' watchful gaze. "You get some rest, I'll come check on you later." Anuerin rolled his eyes playfully, but obeyed. Amaryllis smiled, pleased, before leaving the room. She hesitated a moment thinking on how glad she was to see Anuerin, even if it was short. She had been so worried about him, despite Haley's advice and with how hard she had tried to obey. Putting thoughts of worry aside she walked down the hallway. She came to Vasper's door and lifted her hand to knock, but pulled away. It was early, she reminded herself. Just because she was awake didn't mean Vasper was. She would come back later to invite Vasper to eat with her.

(I don't know, I'm not very knowledgeable of that kinda stuff. You decide :) )
( :caf Hummm, decisions decisions. I'll think about it. I don't want that to just be a cure all. Plus he needs to suffer a while. Let's see how nice he stays. I'm sooo of mean to my characters sometimes. Every time there's a Time skip something tragic has to happen. First Razeth, now Leverett. )

"Not at all." Laurel replied with a yawn. She supported her chin on her arm which was propped up on the table, and looked to Razeth to give him a weary smile.

"Ha! Aw you're good," Alexis said joyfully. "And correct. There, I admit it to your face, you're correct. I wouldn't know what to do with myself, therefore I won't attempt to put myself in such a position. You wouldn't like seeing me unhappy, now would ya."

"Ohh!" Allen nodded his head thoughtfully. "That bright yellow orb that's blinding me? I see it now. It's pretty, but I prefer its nightly counterpart: the moon." He grinned at her for a moment before turning his attention fully to the sunrise.

Haley stretched slowly across her bed, rubbing her eyes gently as she did so. A glance to the clock and she groaned quietly. It was too early to get up, considering the late hour she'd finally gone to sleep. Everything seemed to be under control for the most part last night, with the emergency and whatnot, but she'd hung around a while just in case and for moral support. Now her internal clock was thoroughly regretting it.

(Just putting this here for my convenience)
"So is it settled yet? You know, the you talk continuously and I enjoy the lovely sound of your voice." Dimitri replied contentedly.

Ashton looked to the barley visible sun and snorted, "Oh! HELP! That bright sun is scorching my eyeballs!" She said dramatically, then straightened and retorted, "Seriously?" Before smacking Allen in the arm as she walked past him to head back to the cavern.

Dyrus stepped out of the shower and toweled off. He'd slept hard for what little rest he'd been able to get after things had settled with Leverett's injuries. He walked to the closest all natural to look at his choice of wardrobe for the day. Yep! Jeans and a t-shirt look downright comfy to him. Which made his choice easy since there was a lot of options. He thought of Haley as he got dressed. Maybe since they'd missed the sunset, they could watch the sunrise together. A quick stop for something hot to drink and some mugs would add to the moment greatly. But he didn't know what she liked other then water and energy bars. Hot Coco, he decided. That might work. Who didn't like Chocolate?...Well those who were allergic to it, he's supposed. Alright, so he'd have to blow the surprise in order to not killing her with anaphylactic shock if she was allergic.

Vasper keen sense of smell picked up on Amaryllis's scent immediately. He slipped from the bed inow a worried rush and flung the door wide. "What's wrong?" He inquired hurriedly as he looked around the hallway for clues.

"I think it's way past our bedtimes. So, if your good, I'll read this most awesome story to you later. And I may be a bit biased." Razeth said with friendly humor.

Layla sat upright as she heard his voice, she hadn't expected him to actually wake up. She looked at him, all his wounds then glanced up to meet his eyes. Did she have the resolve now that he was awake that she did when he was asleep? "Yeah its me, I didn't want to leave." She replied lamely looking down at her hand where she still held his, god she just needed to spit it out and hope he was as forgiving as he seemed. "This is all my fault Leverett, if I hadn't freaked out like that you never would have fallen. Can you ever forgive me?" She asked her blue eyes meeting his, if she could have looked into his soul for the answer she would have. He was her only friend she needed to know that she still had that even if she felt all this guilt.

Eliana looked up from her oatmeal as there was a knock on the door. That was unexpected, even though she had no clock she had trained herself to a schedule. Her day was predictable, she knew where food came, when it left, when lights out was and when it was time to wake. This was out of her schedule, her nose twitched as she got off the bed, she recognized the scent. She knew who it was before he spoke and opened up the food slot to push in a few books. He had kept his word. A small smile twitched at the edge of her lips, he had kept his word. She moved over to the books and picked them up as she listened to his explanation for not getting her out now. "Thanks," she answered quietly as she cradled the books to her chest and walked back to the bed to sit down and look through what he had brought her. "Maybe try reading a medical journal, I here they are great at putting people to sleep." She said with a quiet chuckle and hoped he got some rest. She looked down then over the titles to see what she had to work with. The hounds of the baskervilles was on top, a classic plus a title by Agatha Christie not one she had read but she knew her other books so it was likely to be a good read, plus another she had never heard of.
