Layla sat upright as she heard his voice, she hadn't expected him to actually wake up. She looked at him, all his wounds then glanced up to meet his eyes. Did she have the resolve now that he was awake that she did when he was asleep? "Yeah its me, I didn't want to leave." She replied lamely looking down at her hand where she still held his, god she just needed to spit it out and hope he was as forgiving as he seemed. "This is all my fault Leverett, if I hadn't freaked out like that you never would have fallen. Can you ever forgive me?" She asked her blue eyes meeting his, if she could have looked into his soul for the answer she would have. He was her only friend she needed to know that she still had that even if she felt all this guilt.

Eliana looked up from her oatmeal as there was a knock on the door. That was unexpected, even though she had no clock she had trained herself to a schedule. Her day was predictable, she knew where food came, when it left, when lights out was and when it was time to wake. This was out of her schedule, her nose twitched as she got off the bed, she recognized the scent. She knew who it was before he spoke and opened up the food slot to push in a few books. He had kept his word. A small smile twitched at the edge of her lips, he had kept his word. She moved over to the books and picked them up as she listened to his explanation for not getting her out now. "Thanks," she answered quietly as she cradled the books to her chest and walked back to the bed to sit down and look through what he had brought her. "Maybe try reading a medical journal, I here they are great at putting people to sleep." She said with a quiet chuckle and hoped he got some rest. She looked down then over the titles to see what she had to work with. The hounds of the baskervilles was on top, a classic plus a title by Agatha Christie not one she had read but she knew her other books so it was likely to be a good read, plus another she had never heard of.
