Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

"Well, in this case. But I think typically it's a big man in a metal suit," Allen stated, chuckling lightly. He moved a pawn forward one square.

Haley stepped in, looking up to him with a smile. "Good. That makes two of us," she said happily.
"I never did understand the symbolism for her individual pieces. I get the bishop with their nose in the air, I imagine they could be pretty snobbish. But from there, nothing. " Ashton stated as she chose a pawn to move forward as well.

"But of course there's two of us." Dyrus said with humor as he shut the door when she was settled and went around to the driver's side to get in.

Priam adjusted the buttons on his gloves, snapping them closed securely, as he stalked down the hall in long strides. He'd just wrapped up a long conversation with Atalanta, who tended to start these things at all the wrong times. He glanced to his watch. He had a schedule to stick to, something she just couldn't seem to grasp in all their years of life together. It certainly made for spontaneity—and annoyance, usually on his part. He rounded the corner and pulled open the gym doors.
Irine glanced to the sound of the door opening on her way to the locker room. She noted the male curiously, but didn't slow her steps.

(lol, thanks Emily)
Donella dipped her head and looked down again. "I am not going down right now." She said again then got up to go over to the side, looking out.
Andorra watched Zaine leave and followed her friend to where she stood. She remained quite, as to not intrude too much beyond her presence.
Zaine ignored her comment, which he had indeed heard, despite her attempt at subtlety. "Well then, I'll be off," he said, before stepping into the dimly lit hallway.

Donella didn't look back, biting her lip lightly and fiddling with her fingers. she didn't know what to say.

"Her?" Allen looked to her curiously. He moved his bishop towards his right edge. "I wonder who decides that such and such is called a she, then that over there is called a he," he mused.

Haley settled in and buckled up. When he was in as well, she leaned forward in her seat, resting her elbows on her knees as she looked around through the front window.

Priam nodded barely in acknowledgment when he caught her gaze. Awkward, always, but he kept walking as she did too. He stopped near a row of benches and surveyed the room.

Zaine left at a brisk pace, not daring to look back. Of all the stupid, irresponsible, inconvenient things that could have happened, that had certainly been one of them. He reclaimed his backpack from the library and pulled out his schedule, then thought better of it and settled into one of the overstuffed library chairs to read. The last class wasn't let out yet so why go stand by the door and wait for another awkward scene to add to his list.

Lucy waited impatiently, drumming her nails across her pant leg while she waited, tense, for the crowd to move out of the doorway. She'd been a hair too late in getting up and out, and now she had to wait for the lingers to quit lingering. Curiosity was killing her. She wanted to know where Victor had gone off to so hurriedly, despite her conscience telling her to leave it alone.

True, Samantha thought. When he moved away, she swam to the edge and folded her arms to rest on the wet concrete, her chin atop them. She didn't reply immediately, having to process the statement and an answer firstly. She trailed the tip of her nail lazily through a puddle, watching the liquid tremble slightly. "I hope so," she finally said, glancing up just for a split second. "I've done a good number of little things for him, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to get on with larger tasks. I've worked too hard to stand in others' shadows much longer."

Liam considered this as he watched her from his seat. He finished drying himself and leaned back on the bench. "Well some of those little things might not seem big to you but could play an important role in something bigger. Never underestimate what he has planned, that is for sure. As for the rest, some of Rykers men cast a very big shadow and I know you know who I am talking about. If you play to your unique strengths you won't be in their shadows much longer. I can put in a good word for you, however it may do little in your favor." He replied eyed her as he spoke, he suspected she had it in her to do what he suggested if she hadn't done such already. Ryker had many assets he could call on, it wasn't a surprise that some got overlooked for others.

Leah got the and shot it, missing also. She whispered loudly “Oops.” She added with a smile “Want to play a game now? Maybe with a prize?”

William eyed her, if the game was with basketball he would most certainly lose. But he was not one to turn down a chance to win. "Alright what do you have in mind? As to the prize how about we each name what we would like to win, and should we win we get that?" He proposed, he wasn't sure yet what he wanted but he would come up with something he liked.

Leverett awoke with an extremely dry mouth. He was very thankful for the fairly fresh iced water that was there for him. He leaned forward slowly and took the straw that was within reach and drank deeply of the cooled fluid. It tasted so good and felt even better to his throat. When his thirst was sated, did he glance around to orient himself. He smiled warmly as he saw his new friend still by his side, quietly sleeping with her head on the edge of the bed.

Layla was sleeping, although much like always it was lite. She had never been a heavy sleeper, and since her changes she was always ready, for anything. As such when she felt the bed move slightly she jolted awake. She extended her claws and moved to use them until she saw that it was just Leverett. She slowed and moved her hands back to her lap as she glanced around the room to make sure there were no threats. "Sorry, force of habit. Are you ok, did you need something?" She asked worriedly.

Willow laughed merrily and said with humor, "Either way sounds perfect and I can't wait to see what your witty mind comes up with. "

Roan hurried off to his class, keenly aware it was half to almost over. He'd probably get a write up for sure. But all well, some things couldn't be helped. At least he kept his promise.

Irine was a bit concerned for Ryker. The man really was a workaholic in its base definition. "I hope he's alright and Leverett too. The French man is a kind soul for this harsh life. The fact that he has been unchanged thus far, is only a testament to his gentle nature. " she said as she stepped inside the gym. She took a deep breath to better savor the sent that permeated throughout the room. It had tones of exertion, with a hint of determination and discipline. It made her body come to life with the tampering of the environment. Becoming ready for what was ahead in the from of her workout. "I'll just go get in my workout clothes, if you'll excuse me." She stated as he headed for the locker rooms.

Adrian shook his head, he sometimes wondered how witty he actually was. He would have to think on it for sure for sometime, make sure he came up with something suitable before mentioning it to her. "So what class are you missing out on right now?" He asked curiously, wondering if she minded that he was the cause of her truancy.

Harper let the door fall shut as they entered the gym, she watched as Irine demeanor changed in reaction to the different scenery. She made a mental note of that, interesting. She had never had such feelings or situations occur to her. She wondered absently if it was just a matter of personality difference or if it was something off in her compared to most of the others being here. "Very well I will be out here." She replied simply and watched as Irine headed to the locker room. She moved to the side of the room and leaned against the wall to observe the rest of the room. There was little trouble Irine could get into in the locker room so there was no need for her to be followed in there.
