"Oh, not the teeth." Nick rolled his eyes. "Well it's a good thing you've got thick skin, if you intend on hanging out with her more often." Crossing his arms, he leaned against the edge of the table. "What would you be, if I may ask? Reptile?"
Samantha perched on a corner at the far end of the table so she could listen but wouldn't be obliged to partake.

"Maybe it's tempermant, Maybe it's who you hang with," Alexis said, shrugging her shoulders. She slowed her pace so they could walk side by side. They were both about the same height, but she had always been a fast walker. "Zaine? I don't really know him at all. We're in a couple of the same classes, and he's Dimitri's roommate, but besides that we don't exactly run in the same circles. That back there—" she nodded towards the hall they had come from. "—Pretty much my last resort of a confidante. Sorry you had to hear all my complaints."
