Child At Heart, Monster By Nature (A Shape Shifting RP)

Andorra looked to Donella with a raised brow and said with humor, "She's definitely not a morning person. "
"I heard that!" Lucy hollered from the bathroom. She hurriedly folded her pajamas as she opened the door and stuck her head out. "It's not that I'm not a morning person, it's that I don't like bad starts to lovely mornings. And a biting beast running around unattended is pretty bad, at least in my opinion." She flashed Andorra a toothy grin before wheeling around to put her clothes away.

(Oh haha, my bad. I didn't understand what you were saying.)

Atalanta swiveled around on her heel to face the library. "Oh?" She looked from Iris to the room through the doorway. "My head's in the clouds," she said byway of apology.
(Lol np and sry for replying so late i lost this)

Iris shook her head, responding lightheartedly "No, that's fine. Let's go find the newbie." as she opened the door for Atalanta to enter first.

Claire heard the squeak of the main doors open, and took shelter behind a bookshelf towards the back of the room in case they were searching for her. Great. Now she looked awfully suspicious too. She opened a random book and pretended to read it, realizing in annoyance that it was a cookbook. Why would they have a cookbook...

Donella got up to grab a change of clothes and go to the bathroom. She agreed with Lucy on that part, it wasn't the best way to start the morning to hear about that attack.

Abigail shook her head. She was fine with anything.
"Wonderful, I'll get the mission specifics together and arrange a briefing in the morning with the both of you. The young man I'm pairing you with goes by the name of Allen. Get some food and rest, I'll see you then." Ryker said as he took the vile to the spinner to begin separating it to run tests.

Andorra shrugged and stated, "Well the leading cause of getting chomped on is not knowing there is a mad chomper running around. So on that news front, you are welcome. " She returned the toothy grin with a flair of her own.

Priam raised his eyebrows, surprised but not dismayed at her request. "Um, okay, then," he said, a trace of a smile on his lips. "I don't have anything that needs immediate attention, and it doesn't seem like you do either."

"You sound like you've got more to say," Allen said, shrugging lightly. "Speak, Missy, speak," he prompted with a teasing smile.

"You'll see my faults sooner or later, but I dearly hope they won't send you running for the hills," Haley teased.
Irene looked to her food at his raised eyebw. How pathetic she must seem. The poor boy only felt bad about the accident and now he was stuck here out of politeness because she'd asked him to. "Sorry about that, you don't have to stay. Honest, I'll be fine." She explained as she gave him a way out.

Ashton's face changed becoming almost sad. "It's me, okay. I'm one of his regrets. " She stated as she leaned against the wall and looked to Allen directly.
~~~
"Never. I chase, I don't run, remember?" Dyrus said with a grin as he glanced to her to see her face highlighted by the glow of the dashboard lights.
(All good :thumbsup)
Atalanta swept her gaze across the room, at the same time feeling for anything off in the air. She stepped forward slowly, peering around the nearest shelf. "Why, a cookbook at this hour?" She tilted her head to read the spine of the book, then looked up and stared wide-eyed at Claire. "What an interesting source of evening entertainment. To each his own, I suppose."
"Honest, you'll be fine, but honest, you'd also like me to stay?" Priam asked gently. He set the tray down and slipped his hands into his pockets as he searched her face, trying to read what she really meant. It didn't occur to him that she might be having as much trouble as he in understanding what they both actually wanted.
Allen started to reach out to her, but stopped himself, not sure how she would take it. Instead, he stepped back against the opposite wall. "Ashton," he said firmly, "what is there to be regretted about you?" He shook his head, trying to make sense of the matter. "You're frickin amazing! If Ryker doesn't see you that way, then he's got problems." He paused a moment before adding "I mean, yeah, we all have problems, but he's got more than most. Has he said this to you directly?"
Haley bent down under the guise of adjusting the plant, escaping the lights momentarily as she smiled at his words. "Well, let's hope you'll still be chasing, then," she corrected herself. She shyly glanced at him for a brief moment before dipping her head once more to watch the perfectly situated plant.
Claire tried to shrug it off, responding with a casual smile "Uhh, yeah. For people who like to cook. Why, do you want it? She studied the tattooed girl before the blue-haired one reached for the book and stole her cover from her in the process.
Iris glanced at the book, before closing it and asking with a smug smile "So. You're new. Out of the cells I suppose. But you don't have a room. Which I could tell by your mindless wandering. So how'd you get out."
Claire smiled smugly, the two had no idea that she could kill them in seconds, and how much pain they would feel. She replied nonchalantly "I do have a room, don't worry about it."
Abigail nodded once, then silently rose and walked out of the room, heading up to her room. She walked through the halls briskly, not hurrying, but not dawdling either. She reached her room and sat on her bed, ignoring the vibrant sunset. She stared across the room, at a charred piece of wood atop her dresser. Yes, she was fine with bringing a rookie along. She was fine with anything, as long as she could hurt the government people. She knew it wouldn't accomplish anything, but she didn't care. She let out a strangled half sigh, half sob, then briskly rose and swept out of her room, being careful to shut the door behind her. That part of her life was hidden from everyone but Ryker. Even he didn't know how much it still hurt. She went(where does she get food from? idk) and grabbed some grilled chicken and mineral water. Ryker had told her that with the photosynthetic skin, she wouldn't need to eat carbs or vegetable matter, only protein to provide amino acids and such for the normal parts of her body. She ate mechanically, quickly finishing and heading to her room. Not to sleep, no. She lay in bed, tossing and turning(in the reverse of normal ppl, because of her wings) long into the night, tormented by night terrors and longing for her family.
