Children naming chickens...

I know there are multiple threads on chicken and fowl names but I had to start a new one because my ten year old daughter just came up with the best country chicken name... John Deere Rock-a-feather. What? THAT IS AWESOME! I had to share. Please share yours too! I know a lot of kids like fluffy,and puffy etc. And that is awesome, but sometimes, kids say the darndest things...

Best name Eva! Lol really pretty creative i named our chick soci because he was stuck and did like sos accept i did soc save our chick. I think my favorite name we have is Philly for an ameracauna that looks like an eagle!

That is awesome, my boys have those Chickadee magazines, so they wanted to name our two that hatched this week Chick and Dee. Chick is a white leghorn crossed with a Columbian rock (I think) and the other is a sex link of some kind (don't know
Who laid the egg, but only have 3 hens left that aren't sex linked, and they lay bigger eggs) crossed with the same Roo.

My 4 year old daughter named our bantam 'Rainbow Rooster' we (adults) call him '$5 Rooster' as the farmer would not sell us the hen we wanted unless we purchased the rooster as well for $5 extra...

My names are quite weired for chickens as they are called Ash, ebony, old spice , thyme,rosemary and Mabel which my little sister calls her evol as she cannot pronounce the name lol

I had a neighbors little girl over to see the chickens and she decided to name every one of my chickens "Peck"XD

My 4-YO niece named her favorite chicken "Butter". There's also a Rock Barred hen, a RIR and a fourth that seems to be a mutt. She named 'em "Weirdo", "Pecky" and "Stinky" because she's the least friendly one!

My daughters named their Jersey Giants Starburst and Diamond, then they went on to name the Barred Rocks Peep and Cheep. The neighbor girl, who is eight, named one of our EE Sparkle. I'm surprised they haven't covered them in glitter....yet.
