Both mt horses are barefoot. I like my horses barefoot cause it makes it easier to clean there hooves (to me atleast) and you don't really need shoes on them unless you ride on rock paths or along the rode.

yeah, mine has been barefoot his whole life, lol. I have ridden him on pavement (not for long), gravel, rocky trails, mud (oh god, the mud 0.0) pretty much everything. He even jumps a little.

Yeah, it's funny because her horse is only a half a hand taller than mine, lol. What are everyone's opinions of shod versus barefoot horses?

I only shoe my show and trail horses. My barrel, roper, cutting and pole horses are all barefoot

I hate to think what my horse would do if I tried to shoe him, lol. And some of my friends are against barefoot, and some radically for it. I think it really depends on the horse.
