No; the name taihe chicken has been around for a couple of thousand years or more; the name in most of the rest of the world for the breed is "silkie."

I believe you are talking about the Szechuan Mountain Silky chicken? They aren't a silkie at all, but a regular feather bird that is FM(black inside and out) like the Ayam cemani.
