I got my eggs set yesterday, 18 seramas, but not until almost 3pm.. To be honest, I was lazing around in my PJs playing a video game with a sick kid, and I actually FORGOT!

My other eggs haven't come in yet, apparently they just shipped out yesterday because the seller was buried in snow. Those ones will go in a little late.

I'm really, really hopeful for these ones. Fingers crossed for at least two! My husband wants to keep a couple in his office upstairs in a little bunny coop.. which I'm gonna have to find for him.. he spends a lot of time up there as it is. I don't think he really works up there, he just goes up and talks to his finches. So, watch, this time ALL of them will hatch, and I'll have to figure out what to do with a bunch of extra mini-babies.

I'm so sorry you and your family are going through all this. It's never easy to see the people you love go through those things.. we had two surgeries late last month, my father and my aunt, even when it's a sure fix, surgery or illness is enough to make the whole family a nervous wreck.

We're all rooting for you on this end. I can't begin to imagine what you've gone through in the past several months, and I can't say that I would have the strength or presence of mind to even get out of bed. You've got an amazing resilience, and I'm glad you're there to be supportive while your family heals.

Got another Coturnix egg yesterday. and so there are two to set Sunday or Monday and 24+ to set whenever they come.

I'm a ding dong so whatever you guys think we need I'm all for it.

Just wanted everyone ot know Olivia was moved to a nicer room. SIL asked the night shift to get her out of the other one, so she could rest. I guess the room mate had people there till 11pm (visiting was over at 9) and he had had enough. Helped that everyone that was visiting the other girl drove the nurses crazy and were rude, so my baby is resting and being taken care of. All the fluids are gone and she will probably go home later today!!! Yay!

My temps dropped to 97 and got them back up to 101. Humidity reads 36, sooooo yeah close to 40. LOL


One of my daughters and I talked yesterday about my financial situation and so we're looking for some property for me, Dakotah and Makayla nd she'll purchase it so I can move and make the payments and I've found almost 20 acres with a small house for under 80k and sent her the info. Olivia manages a store for a large chain, but also has her RE license, so when she's able, we'll see what she thinks and see what we can do. I have time, so may even find something else I like, so it's an up day for me.

Car is in the shop and should be done by 6:00. I have been going to sell it, but I think I've decided I'm keeping my baby if I can find someplace to move to and be able to afford more. Was only selling to help pay the bills. Now I'm thinking I like it too much to do that. Hopefully I won't change my mind. LOL

My FBCMs have gotten brighter red the past few days!!! I hope this means I'll be having their eggs to set for Easter and my bad hatches since Bill died will be over. I'm going to set everything I can and sell chicks as I go.

I got a new Game roo the other day. I think he's Wheaten, but I'm so not good with Game colors. I have 3 Wheaten hens and some others that colors throw me off and I'm going to see what I can get from them. I'm going to hold on to some pullets and sell most. I'm really trying to find Cubalaya roo for them. Bill had seen one in the Strombergs catalog and said "This is the rooster I want!" And he wasn't into chickens, LOL Anyway I'm going to play with the Games a bit and see if I can make some pretty birds. They lay like crazy usually and are usually broody. I can't wait till quarentine is over! He's seems very healthy, but those Polish i bought that day didn't make it, so definately keeping him in his area a little longer.

I have an idea for a contest. How about best name for a chick from this hatch?


I should be getting the Wellie eggs today. I figure they'll be here in the next 2 hours, so I'll set those tomorrow.

Gee I'm having a good day so far, knock on wood, so I'm a bit chatty! LOL

If I don't get on here tomorrow it means I went to get Bill's Christmas decorations and then off to one of my grand daughter's cheer competitions. Busy busy busy..............
