Chinnese Geese

My white chinese goose is totally mean as hell. and probably really dumb too. He won't give up. If he wants to eat you, he is GOING to eat you, even if you carry him around, he'll just wait til you put him down... or til you turn around. I got him as a 5 month old goose though, so I think he is who he is. As far as broody, I've heard that chinese geese are good mothers, broody, and lay lots of eggs... from experience though, having only the male, I say they are tenacious... which can be a good thing in a mama.

Hello i'm new to BackYardChickens and i'm glad I found this forum.

My name is Teresa and I need Help!

I have a female and she is sitting on what i'am very sure are fertilized eggs, i'm use to chickens but not geese. How long will she sit for, and is there anyother information that i need to know for them. The interweb has very conflicting answers or none at all please help.

Hi Teresa. You need to start a new thread so people will see what your questions are in the heading. Usually your goose will sit until something hatches. If the eggs are infertile she might sit for the rest of the summer.
