That's what came to my mind too. He also says he has black sex links, but have no idea what those are other than it's easier to tell gender. I asked for leghorns, golden comets, or other non broody layers. I know a little about wyandotte's, but can't remember if they are broody.

Forgot to mention that out of four Wyandottes, two are/were avid broodies. To me, it depends more on the individual bird than breed tendencies. Yes, some are less likely to sit than others, but it doesn't mean you won't end up with a motherly hen.

Bah, there shall be no pics I decided not to buy the ones I've mentioned in this post. I've been consulting someone IRL over my trying to figure out which chickens are the best for my needs. I think I've finally figured it out.

You can't tell breeds from color alone. You have to know leg color, comb type, see the legs and see if it has a crest or not. I recommend posting pics of your chicks.
