Chipped beak... Will it grow back

I just went to Agway supply here in jeresy and picked up some rode island reds there are just about 17 weeks old and not laying eggs yet. there beaks have been clip. I really hope they will grow back. Do they have any real problems when this happens to them? I hope not.....I feel so back for them.

Hello I just wanted to ask about my rooster who had his beak deeply cracked but not broken and he keeps doing something with his neck and mouth, he has pain. The rooster is about 2yrs 2 months old and it broke while I left him at home and he was caged and he got it broken, He's a little down in condition but he is crowing but a little drowzy- Can you tell me if his crack will fill or he will have a new beak after this one breaks, I give him soft and moist things to eat like bread dipped in tea or pastries - SO please help me if you could because I love my rooster alot he's just like a child ! Thanks!

All 5 of my chickens beaks got chipped from pecking at hardware cloth because my kids were feeding them grass through the wire. All 5 healed back to normal in a short amount of time. This was just the tip of the beaks.

Thanks dude but it's not fully Broken its just cracked so I'm asking if the crack will fill or it will have to break for the new one to come? Thanks!

DARN IT, found my prize rooster black white crested Polish had a beak injury today.. top beak broken by 1 millimeter.. Now I can't show him at the county fair, at least not for judging. He is the tamest bird in the whole flock. I have no idea how this could have happened, I hope it grows back!
He is only 7 months old....:he:bow

Anyone

Chicks have a small a small part of their beak which is designed to break through the egg when hatching a couple days later it falls off so it might just be that

Old article but just for knowledge, a chickens beak continuously grows throughout their lifetime, its a natural process. Cracks, chips etc. should grow back with some time. This is the tip though, more severe breaks may or may not grow back as the injury is moving past the natural portion of regeneration. Beak issues the owner may have to make some special arrangements such as changing the water set up and perhaps offering fermented feed which is soft.
