My broody hen is hatching out runner ducks. One cutie already hatched. The other egg unfortunately was chipped a little w my handling I hear and feel the little duckling in the egg. I am concerned that the exposed membrane (that was exposed 3 days ago) will 'shrink wrap' the baby duckling and make it impossible for it to hatch. I really do no want to intervene if possible. Any one have any advise?

What day of incubation are the eggs at? I am always concerned about 'too early' intervention and unabsorbed yolk sacks.

Looks like it's trying to hatch today. It has cracked the egg. Don't see any bill yet . I hope the membrane isn't too though. I will let it go and hopefully it will hatch. What do you think?
