can I use that for the ground in the brooder

there is a light, but it might be too bright

Ok, well make sure he/she stays warm, and they eat chick food that you can get at any farm store or ground up adult chicken food (they eat small pieces) medicated food or non medicated food it's your choice and they need to stay at about 80 to 90 degrees for the first week

use paper twoels for bedding?

right now there is like a liltle towel in there, ima bout to take out the twoel and add paper tweols

Use paper towels for the first day or 2 then switch to pine shavings NEVER use cedar

Did this chick hatch under a hen? Or in an incubator?

Use what you have available until you are able to get the necessary supplies, if it just hatched, paper towels are fine, you'll be going through a lot of them. Heat and water are most important right now, but chick starter food will be important in the next day.

Make sure the water dish you use is very VERY shallow because the chick will drown if it isnt

#1 priority is heat above all else, unless it is very warm where you live., Chicks can survive 3 days without food but without heat it won't last that long.

How'd you end up hatching 1 chick? Was it hatched by a hen? Incubator?

we got the person we brought from

they said add newspaper

we have litle bowles for chick feed and water

but I duno if thtre too high for them?

I filled the bowel with water half way

but yer I duno if its too high for them to drink , i added pics of the bowles

the person we brought gave us chik feed

monday might be near a shop can buy proper chick waterer and fedeer maybe
