Choanal Slit.. completely gone?

He would really rather we leave him alone but a picture to show how much better he already looks ( still going to treat for other things after he's had time to have all his vet meds and recover a little ). Eating and drinking already.

Tiny is recovering very well! I was able to check in his mouth and it looks pretty much like everyone else's mouths now. He still has a few days of antibiotics left. They had no clue what it might be and it was going to cost double what surgery did to find out. I love him but we picked the "hope it doesn't come back and that they got it all" option. She did warn that the area it was in to get all of it ... Well his little brain and nasal cavity and everything are right there. They were hopeful since it was much easier to remove than expected. For now we will keep an eye to see if it reoccurs or not. At first she had thought it might have been an impaction/something lodged up in there but it was "very fleshy". It wasn't rock hard but it wasn't super squishy either. No smell reported but it was pretty bloody when she was poking it. She also said she was able to turn the mass 90 degrees before she actually had done the surgery.
He's been absolutely feeling better. He still comes inside to snuggle but he doesn't nap as he's too busy doing rooster things like calling warnings if he sees any other birds or looking for snacks. He is still gaping a little which I'm hoping is just still recovering from all this. It's been less and less as the days go by. I'll pop back in with another update in a few days :) it's very likely I'll take him back into the vet so she can check and make sure he's all healed up / looking normal and that we don't need to do anything else in the immediate future.
