chocolate cake?

I can think of absolutely no reason why it should unless they choke to death on it.

Lol :D good point..... Just HOW MUCH cake are we talking about? Does it have frosting? Why waste cake? :(

Seriously though, she should be OK, I don't think chocolate is as dangerous to chickens as it is for say, a dog ;)

I would feed them the cake!

I bet it would be good fun watching them enjoy it. I give my chickens all of our left overs they love them and it save money on chicken feed.

I have left over mud cake no icing as the kids only ate the top. So only the sponge .

Lol that sounds all too familiar ;) mine had a white cake last week, minus the green frosting and plastic ducks ;)

I just like chocolate, was wondering what was wrong with it that you were tossing it :D

Meh, my chickens get pretty much EVERYTHING left over... There's a chance that they had some ice cream with said cake too...

Not like we're attempting to make diabetic chickens or anything lol ;)

Although mine have never had specifically chocolate cake, they sure have had a plethora of other things. The list goes as such: pancakes (occasionally with grade B maple syrup and organic butter), blueberry waffles, leftover muffins, baguette, pasta in an array of shapes, polenta with homemade marinara and parmesan, steel cut oats, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes or hash browns, baked cheese puffs, buttered toast, and this one only happened once, mind you.....the oreos out of my dad's milkshake.

The girls are just like me; anything involving carbs or dairy is much loved and initiates a feeding frenzy comparable to that of piranhas. But don't forget that everything mentioned is merely a rare treat and by no means a constant diet.

In spite of all this, they each lay nearly an egg every day.
