Chocolate Laced Blue?

Chocolate (choc/choc) X Blue (Bl/bl) = (What the Brits call) Mauve, or Mauve laced. As far as I know this color has not been created in the States yet... I'm working on changing that though.

NO. Lavender covers other black diluters like blue and chocolate and also would not help the lacing.

This is the only bird that I have thats close to the discription. She has molted and has gotten a darker blue and darker lacing but still the somewhat chocolate color. I believe they called her a Cream-laced Blue

I don't follow your line of reasoning. Lacing genes move pigment to the edges of the feather; they do not dilute it or enhance it. They simply move it, bundling it close together. I'm the first to admit that the cellular level workings of the genes are not something I have much knowledge on, but I've read nothing that says that blue does not dilute E birds. Indeed, it seems that the best coloured blues are E or E^R.

I don't buy it. Why (how) would dun or choc be any different than blue in diluting lacing? I am not convinced either that the lacing in a blue is not simply compacted pigment versus undiluted pigment.
