I looked at bringing eggs back this Fall, but TSA and Airline and govt restrictions make it 99% impossible.........

I don't think this seller is wanting to sell at this time, he or she are just getting there names out there so everyone knows who they are and that they have them. I have watched one auction for a pair someone bid $5000.00 and never got past the reserve. I may be wrong but something to think about.

It is all supply and demand. If there is a big demand - which evidently there is - and a low supply in the country then the opportunity to import will arise. It will be expensive as they have to cover their costs for US and UK Agriculture and Immigration certification, the cost of flying the birds or eggs from another country (and anyone that may be transporting them across). Then we, as buyers seem prepared to push up the costs, so I don't think they are being greedy, if it was a US citizen selling we'd regard it as good salemanship. If I had the opportunity to do it I'd be there!

Hm.

Well, I'm out. I'm also confused as to how Harmony Hills is posting as Gracie Mae months after their web page says they're getting Chocolate Orps, but she's saying how much she wants them...

Also, did anyone else get this?

Dear valued BidBird member,
Over the past few weeks we have been approached and have had it brought to our attention that a BidBird.com user/s has asked for permission to post pre-sale auctions for imported birds/chicks/eggs that are not even yet on U.S. soil. Although allowing such auctions would be a fantastic traffic generator to BidBird auctions, we have made the decision not to allow such auctions on BidBird and have had to institute new policy. The new policies will affect very, very few of BidBird’s auctions but we feel it is a necessary policy to institute.
In order to list an auction for birds/chicks/eggs on BidBird.com the user must:
1) Be in possession of the intended auction birds or the parent stock if selling chicks or eggs.
2) If using pictures for the purpose of selling birds/chicks/eggs, the pictures must be those of either the parent stock if selling chicks, or of the birds themselves, but in either case must not be pictures borrowed from other breeders of stock that is not on the user’s premise.
We feel that the new policies will only serve to enhance the overall experience at BidBird auctions while protecting our member’s interests as well as to protect our integrity. We hope our latest decisions will only strengthen BidBird user’s confidence when it comes to listing or buying on BidBird.com
Sincerely,
Jesse Paul
