Hi - You can go to our site under the gallery and see some of the pics of our chocs.
On another note - as many here probably know that chocolate is a diluted gene and your chocs will lose in color should you not breed back black split into the line. I will have this Spring another line of chocolates that will include split blacks to enhance the color. I have already seen some chocs that have a lighter color.
We have an American chocolate bantam project going, no Imported blood. I'm on F3's two years in being very selective along the way. Just hatched several more New Years day, two chocolates and one split with 7 more in LD today. Will post pics once they've had a chance to settle in.
PS - Paul, LOVE the picture, thank you for sharing.
Yes dun can be made to look like choc but from what I have read isn't that is made by crossing blue & wheaten birds and don't they have a blueish kind of hue to them??
Chocolate Dun based birds are solid black birds(Extended black or Birchen based, seems like Gold is preferred over gold ) and one dose of the dominant Dun gene(I^D/i+) and just like blue(Bl/bl+) it does not breed true..
here a white creasted chocolate(Dun Based) Polish(not my bird)
