Chocolate Serama Breeders - dun and blue can be included here as well

Pics
Muffi,
I missed your post before but sorry to hear about your loss too. Why is it always our favorites? I have 5 chocolate chicks out of Truffles and if these are true chocolates, that means T-Roo is a carrier so I should have more coming and have him with 3 nice hens, one is solid black. I have several nice solid black chicks and hoping there are a couple worth breeding, I'll know in a few more months I guess. One is a rooster I'll sell soon that is already showing red leakage in the neck hackles. I have one cockerel that is still solid black and has swarthy legs that I'm hoping will be good type and little to no leakage. My blacks may be chocolate carriers as well as some of the other color/pattern cockerels by T-Roo. Anyone interested in the black cockerel with red leakage can PM me and I'll send current photo's and more information.

I won't have any chocolates for sale but I will be selling some of the patterned cockerels by T-Roo. I have a pretty neat blue chick that's showing good type too. Hoping it's a cockerel since I've hatched several black pullets too and I want to try crossing blue with chocolate. I'll try to get some decent photo's tomorrow of my chocolates.

Not chocolate, blue or dun but I have a laced cockerel that I may use with my blues. His dad is my rooster, Blu-T but he didn't get a blue gene.

He's still a baby but showing some of his lacing now. I have one laced hen so she has to be his mom.

Love the little chocolate chick!! I really want some chocolates. Love the cocoapops and the chocolates, and also the lemon cuckoo, but have only seen that color in a book. Neat though.

Nice birds Cathy!

Aspen,
Can you post some photo's of your chocolate? Since Truffles is gone, I am really watching for these next chicks to hatch that are by T-Roo. I "should" see some chocolate from him if he's carrying chocolate and possibly some more solids since one of his hens is my solid black hen, Bugsy. I have a couple of decent looking black pullets by T-Roo and one of them is Truffles baby. She doesn't have a chocolate gene but she's got nice type and more swarthy legs than black.
I have been wanting a black cockerel and I have at least 2 now. The older one is already showing red leakage but the other one that is just days younger is staying solid black so far.

My 2 blues are different, one is darker and laced and the other is light blue but they're still chicks so I'm anxious to see them all in mature feathering, especially some of T's chicks that were patterned that might be chocolate but I can't see it yet for all the patterning on the juvenile feathers.

I'd love to see some photo's of chocolate chicks that are not solid. Photo's from the fist down photo's to the juvenile feathers and the final color. Anyone got some? If not, chocolate breeders should be taking pics of their chicks to share here for us all to learn from. Any new chocolate chicks hatched lately? Blues? Dun?

I don't have any recent pictures, I'll try and take some tomorrow. But you can see some pictures on my current auction: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=563962

The
dad Little Man, does have some "Dun" feathers on his tail that are solid. The three chicks I hatched from his eggs are all boys, so we shall see what we end up with. The first chick is the one that looked alot like yours. You cannot see his feathers very good, but those pictures are out dated and I'll try and get some better ones tomorrow.

Here are a couple shots of my growing boys, both of which carry the choc gene. The lacing on the one is much more gorgeous than I can capture with my camera and no way to describe. Both of them have extremely gorgeous silver hackles/saddles and just tons of wow factor!
