Chocolate Serama Breeders - dun and blue can be included here as well

Muffi,
I can assure you that Candie is not chocolate. She does not produce chocolate when bred to chocolate. I had a chocolate laced cockerel that I hatched a few chicks from this fall before a sudden cold snap killed him. He was the first chocolate cockerel I'd produced although not a solid chocolate.

who are you breeding Candie to? Is she laying? I am trying to get the cocopop coloring!

We could trade eggs but I think the only eggs I have you'd be interested in is my Spotted Saddle horses and it's been a long time since they laid any....

Only a couple of mine have started back up laying and she's not laying yet. They all molted back in November and I only got a couple of eggs here and there last month. They will all start up laying again but the simple answer is no, she isn't laying right now.

Do you have any Serama's at all? I'm always interested in trading. I'm working on black.

The seramas I have are pumpkin colored and possibly khaki colored. They are all roos. I got rid of all my d'uccle roos so that I would have nothing but d'uccle/serama crosses. I'm trying to figure out the pumpkin gene and also introduce the dun and silver gene into my d'uccles. I'm getting a ton of eggs from these girls right now. Their coloring is regular millie fleur, blue millie fleur, gold neck (two blue genes), colombian. These are the roos I'm using and the hens. I have all their eggs in the incubator right now and expect the first to hatch in a few days. Since serama color genetics are all over the place, I'll keep an eye out for black, but not sure about the type that will result. The combs are similiar, but d-uccles don't have wattles, and their feet, at least mine, are heavily feathered.

I love being a crazy chicken lady! I'm just glad I have the space to allow them to free range safely.

I Love the little bright gold Pumpkin colored rooster, very Nice type and the color is stunning. Wishing you had Serama hens to breed to him :) I'd love some chicks by him

I am working on some of the harder to find colors in my Seramas as well. I am hunting eggs to swap to try and introduce some more colors. I was also thinking of crossing a couple of my hens under a Duccle for the color too. I love what your getting! great colors! So far I have added a dun and a red color that I think is a chocolate redish. I will cross him on my black hen and see what I get. My hens are laying right now so If any one wants to swap some eggs I would be all for it. I have pics I can share.

I'm getting eggs as well from my d'uccles crossed to my seramas roosters. The first several have already hatched. One is greyish-pink. Wonder what that one will be? I'll have to go to my other computer to download some chick pics.
