Love those baby chicks! Wish I could find some Chocolate Seramas without haveing to chop and arm or leg off.

Cara,
I have seen chicks change soooo much from those first feathers to 6 months old and older that I wouldn't even try to guess, lol. If it helps any, I have one with feathering similar but I have no idea what the end color will be.

i know me to!! they change, I was excited about labeling them with names at first them i gave up, I even started a thred of serama chick down and keeping track of them as they develope to show people my experiences!!

I hatched out a bunch of chicks tonight, over a dozen! All colors, of course. There are three that are out of Truffles eggs that should be by Blu-T this time so these might be interesting. I'll post photo's if I have anything that looks chocolate. Blu is a full brother to T-Roo but Blu may not be a chocolate carrier so I've been anxious to see if there would be any chocolates from this hatch. Truffles was with Blu about 3 weeks then I put her back with T-Roo. I wanted some chicks by both roosters but I don't want to pass up any chances for more chocolates.

I worked pretty late tonight so I haven't gotten any really good pics of the chicks hatched yesterday but I had to share these since they didn't turn out too bad.
This is my second chocolate chick out of Truffles but the twist is that Blu-T may be the sire of this chick and not T-Roo this time. I had moved Truffles in with Blu on June 21st. I set this egg on July 2nd, and it was marked with the date set and Truffles name and I watched it hatch.

Here is the new chick

Here are some of the most recent hatched Serama chicks. I couldn't seem to keep them all in one bunch for a picture and there are 2 new hatched Araucana chicks in there somewhere... I don't know enough about what to look for so there may be more chocolate chicks with patterning
