Very nice!!! I knew she looked like a HDI LOL. I agree about getting tougher and numb to life. Life pretty well just seems to stink, but just gotta keep on keepin' on.

I love the Doc Bars. My favorite in the world though is Three Bars. Love them as close up as I can find them. I love a horse with some attitude.....LOL, takes that to keep up with MY attitude!!!

I have a granddaughter of Doc Athena, and she's by a son of Nonstop Jet and I love her.

We have a 20yo mare. Have had her for 16 years. Mainly just a pet, but is a good kids/lead line horse. She's only about 13.3 or maybe 14h.

LOL, very ncie! Love those old bloodlines. I have a friend in SD with an old daughter of Bar Money (LOVE!!) that I sooo wish I had the money to do embryo transfer with. She is so nice, but older of course. Have I said how much I love Three Bars????? LOL. My PI horse is a GS of Bar Money. Super gritty, although pretty nuts, but I really think he was blown up. He'd run on two legs for me if I asked him to.

It's nice to see people who will hang onto a good horse. Breaks my heart to see an older horse being sold (dumped.) If they've served the owner well, they deserve a good retirement, not to be dumped when they are too old to ride or breed. I see sooooo darn many people doing that lately.

Yes there are!! SEeing lots of reports of starved horses. One recently was a mare that won 139k cutting (I think.) So sad. Animals here eat better, and before we do!

Love him! He can be ornery as heck when he's bored, but keep him busy working and he's an awesome horse. Super smart, sensible, and tons of personality.
