Hello, new here and started off with 6 chickens last year and now have 26! It's a small wee flock by standards here but have found them strangely addictive to say the least! I somehow expanded the flock to 28 but lost one to Mycoplasma and one to an egg problem.

This was a photo of some of my first 6, now have 3 houses in a row and they are spoilt little madams who have me at their beck and call.

Welcome to BYC from California wine country in the Western Sierra Foothills. :frow

What an adorable coop!

I started with 8 chicks. I think my flock is up to fifty-some chickens, in addition to the other poultry I've added. Chickens are a gateway livestock, I tell ya! :lau
