That sounds like a perfect setup.I'm reasonably sure they aren't too warm. They are in a circular brooder that is 5' in diameter with the light off to one side. There are in my garage and the ambient temp is probably in the 60's on average. They tend to be fairly equally scattered around the brooder when awake and they sleep mostly in the middle in the area where the edge of the light/heat meets the unlit/unheated area. Some of them pile up to sleep but many sleep where they fall be it on a stick, in the food or on top of someone else![]()
