Christian homeschoolers of all ages<3

I'm Ella, and in 5th grade. My Mom is Christian and my Dad doesn't believe in any religion but was raised Mormon so I don't go to church or anything like that. They are thinking about homeschool so I was wondering what you liked about it?
Hi, welcome, it's nice to meet you!
Homeschooling has so many awesome advantages that public and private schooling don't.
You get to do your school at your own pace. Which means that many days, school might only take two hours!! Then the rest of the day is open for you to do whatever you want.
You don't have to compare yourself to others. You just go with your own flow of learning and don't need to worry about whether it's as good as your friends'.
You can explore more of your own interests! Your schooling can revolve around your favorite things, which makes it so much more fun!
You can do a lot more random stuff that you just plain want to do. Like a field trip every single week!
Did I mention all of the freedom? ;P

Some drawbacks are that you might find it harder to make new friends and meet up with them, but there are all sorts of homeschool groups and co-ops all over the place where you can do just that. Some of them do weekly classes, and some do regular group field trips to really neat nearby places.
You will also technically just have one teacher (or two, if both of them want to teach you), so if you don't like the way that they teach, you're kind of stuck with it - BUT! they can learn and adjust to best fit you! That's something most school teachers can't do.

One more benefit is that you don't have to be exposed to the kids in the schools. Most of them are pretty rude and unkind, especially in high school. Often times they are downright inappropriate, and most of them are quite disrespectful... Not all of them, but I went to a private Christian high school for two classes one year, and it was awful. :(
I think homeschooling made me a happier person in the long run, because the environment around me was relatively safe and stable compared to being in a school all day every day.

Anyhoos, lots of pros, and most of the cons are personal preferences!

I can't deal with mean girls, drama or any of that so homeschool is perfect! lol!

They make me so mad and ruin my whole life. 😭 I can "handle" them, but it's so not worth it to have to deal with it all the time. Why would I wanna exist in that cloud of misery. 😂
I have only had to deal with a couple big drama things and they all came from rly close friends :( . I have gotten better at dealing with it tho. 🤣:tongue

I figured y'all would understand since most of you probably have a SAHM and lots of siblings but...
DID YOU KNOW THAT LIVING FRUGALLY IS NOW A TREND!!!
I just saw a video about "underconsumption" where people are JUST NOW thrifting clothes, saving pickle jars for drinking glasses, using mismatched towels, cooking at home, making coffee at home, using wash rags instead of paper towels, not buying $40 Stanley water bottles, saving Walmart bags, not getting $150 manicures, and keeping their phones past being cracked. Like I beg your biggest pardon?! Underconsumption😭😭😭
That's not a cute trend that's just being frugal🤣🤣🤣

And thrift stores are super expensive anyways so why not buy new?

Buying cheap has always been the way I've been. Used laptop. Used phone. It works. Not me trying to be "frugal" or anything.

*sits on throne of laptops*
