Christmas Carolers

I didn't use to give to the Salvation Army bell ringers. However I heard on here that they are volunteers. I figure if they are freezing their rear ends off to help that charity then I will help them do their thing. I always give a dollar plus any change in my pocket.

That's great you go to the Senior Centers. I bet they really appreciate even if you're not doing it for them and just as a way to overcome fear, as you stated above. My Grandma used to live in an apartment building that was all seniors. They were all able to take care of themselves and they had an activity center downstairs. She played piano and they had a lot of sing alongs, they really enjoyed it. I live in the country now, so it's not an issue anymore. However since they just do it for themselves, they should stay at home and keep warm, while they do it.

I have never had Christmas Carolers at my door (no matter where I lived) and think it would be wonderful! I didn't know people even did that. My kids have gone to nursing homes and sang with choir or 4-H though.

I like to sing with the kids. I've never been a soloist except in front of my kids and sometimes my DW. Of course I like to modify the lyrics.
