Eggs in the bator, and chickens free ranging!
Hens in the nest boxes, and eggs a-hatching!
Brown boxes loaded with chicks from Ideal.
These are a few of my favorite things!

Cream colored buff orpingtons, and cute fuzzy butts!
Warm brooder boxes, and roosters that strut!
Grey-blue frizzles, all fuzzy and warm.
These are a few of my favorite things!

When the hen's sick,
When the hawk strikes,
When I'm feeling sad....
I simply remember my favorite things! And then I don't feel so bad!

Cinnamon the Red Star(from "Frosty the Snowman")

Cinnamon the Red Star! was a jolly happy hen! with a yellow beak, and a small red comb. and two eyes that shone with gold!
Cinnamon the Red Star! Is a gentle hen they say! She loved attention, and the farmers know, how she loved to eat green grass!
There must have been some calcium in that layers mash they say. For when the farmer went to the coop, Cinnamon had popped an egg!
Oh Cinnamon the Red Star! Was laying one egg each day. And the farmers say Cinnamon the hen, laid very tasty eggs!
Cluckety, cluck cluck! Cluckety, cluck cluck! look at all those eggs! *BAW-GAWK!* Cluckety, cluck cluck! Cluckety, cluck cluck! Filling up those egg cartons!
Cinnamon the Red Star! Knew the snow would come that day. So she told her friends, "Lets eat the grass, now before it's covered over!"
Down to the chicken run! With her friends following close behind! Scratching here and there, all in the dirt, catching all the bugs she could!
She led them to the farmer's house, looking for some grub. And they only stopped eating out of the compost for a moment when they heard the farmer holler "STOP!"
Cinnamon the Red Star! Had to hurry back to the coop. It was getting dark, and he hopped right in, so the farmer could put them to bed.
Cluckety, cluck cluck! Cluckety, cluck cluck! Good night Cinnamon! *BAW-GAWK!* Cluckety, cluck cluck! Cluckety, cluck cluck! Getting ready for bed!
