Donate a Christmas tree and decorations to a childrens hospital or orphanage, or even to a nursing home for the elderly. Let your son dress up as Santa and after yall are done decorating the tree, you could pass out presents to the children or folks at the nursing home. Let him experience how wonderful it feels to give to others and make others happy. Take up a collection to help buy the presents you pass out, from church or where you work, or just family and friends. That could be a wonderful experience that he will carry with him always. Just a suggestion.......
 
I am working on a quilt for my mother-in-law which is made from scrap fabric, and old pieces of my daughter's baby clothes (my dd is now almost 3) so this is something Nana can have to remind her of her Granddaughter because she lives sooooooooooooo far away from us!
