I just realized one of my eggs I set is from my frizzle that is to my left!

Now this chicken is an over achiever! That is a jumbo carton and it doesn't really close over them. She laid 4 that size this week!

for comparison the other eggs are normal size

Oh I just learned that 2 of the eggs my friend had me set are turkey....... WTF I guess we will find out if his turkeys are fertile. The eggs weighed in at 50g so I am not holding my breath even for chicken eggs they were not big........ but they have been in the bator for a day so I guess we will see what happens

My blue isbar just laid one of those jumbo eggs that could not fit in carton, I gave it to hubby to eat since it didn't fit in carton.

Well I am hoping that these eggs are from my Salmon Faverolles hen. Only one of my girls is laying right now so fingers crossed. Options for parentage are either Purebred Salmon Faverolles or Salmon Faverolles Roo over a ChanteclerxSalmon Faverolles Hen. Those two lay identical eggs so it's a toss up to who's they are

I would love to see them hatch but I am concerned because they are so small..... at least compared to the last ones I hatched lol

I just checked on the 4 eggs under the mom, day 3? I know it is a bit early but, one white one looked like nothing was going on, and the tan egg was completely cold! I put the tan egg back under her and let her have one of the white ones and the one green one.

I had a very busy day yesterday and failed to set eggs so I just slipped 3 in there today so they won't hatch till the 26th.
I'm going out to collect eggs now and if there are any really dark ones, I'll try to get them in there before my other eggs externally pip. Those are due in 5 hours.

I put these in incubator. Momma hen has some that she has been sitting on a couple of days, but they are slower, because she is in outdoor pen, I am hoping these will hatch in a similar time frame, and broody can raise'm.
