I had a purple=y pink egg layer and bred her with a dark green gene egg layer. I got what I hoped for!!!

There are so many possibilities I still have not even considered yet lol..... I love the green/blue eggs and have hatched as many as I can we will see what my egg basket looks like by this spring

I did see a gray egg at a near by farm when I was buying eggs to hatch. The egg I bought and hoped to hatch didn't hatch, but it got me excited and that is how I experimented.

I love all the colors even white, because it makes all the colors pop. lately I have been wanting white, just because pretty egg laying hens don't always do their job, and white egg layers do.

I have 5 leghorns that are great layers.I hope to use carefull breeding to get the best laying dark layers I can, my green/blue layers are my most consistent after my leghorns, that's one reason I want more I was trying to cross em with my leghorn roo for bigger eggs but so far it doesn't seem to be working lol

I love all the colors even white, because it makes all the colors pop. lately I have been wanting white, just because pretty egg laying hens don't always do their job, and white egg layers do.

I no longer have any but I loved my white egg layers. I had Anconas, White Minorcas (enormous eggs), Black and White Leghorns, Buttercups, Jaerhons and Polish.

Is everyone setting eggs today or tomorrow?
I think I'll throw a few in tomorrow.

I jumped the gun, and put some under the hen a couple days early, but mom is sitting and it is cold out, so maybe the hatch will be delayed.

I'm sitting on my hands. Incubator is set up and calibrated. 2 hygros and 4 thermos in there, rock steady. I have 6 frizzled sizzle eggs and 5 eggs from a blue half silkie/half serama hen who I have put in with a blue frizzled sizzle.

The plan is to set them on Saturday, so I have a decent number of the Serama/Sizzle eggs since they're reportedly so difficult to hatch (as many as I can collect without them greatly losing viability) but THE INCUBATOR IS SET UP AND CALIBRATED. NOW.

I have a problem.
