I have 10, 6 blue silkies, 3 splash silkies, and 1 showgirl.....and a partridgeeee in a pear trrreeeeee!!!!

Here's a picture of the first one out ( I am working, so hubby had to send it to me).
I won an ebay auction for what I "thought" were white Delaware...however I thought the babies should have yellow feathering..and this one is not yellow....so I wonder if it's a blue or something totally different....what do you think?

Eek! I don't think that looks like a white Delaware either! What in the world do you think you have? Are there blue delawares?

After this last hatch of mine, I think I am done with ebay eggs for a while! I won an auction for Crele Wyandotte bantams and I only got 2 that hatched- one is crippled and has some sort of neurological problem, and the other has 5 toes! The other 7 died in their shells full term at hatch. All my other eggs hatched. Makes me wonder why? Sick eggs or sick bator? but- I'm pretty sure my bator didn't cause the 5 toe thing, though! Oh well-

I ended up with 16 chicks-
5 Dutch
6 Cochins
3 Buff Orps
2 Wyandottes

1 BO died right after hatch- he pipped the wrong end of the egg and we ended up having to help him- he didn't make it.

The 1 wyandotte chick is absolutely pitiful. I am going to have to put her down tomorrow. My kids wanted to give her one more day- but she's horribly crippled, can't walk, eat, drink, or hold her head up. Her legs don't work, and it looks like her wings are on backwards! We've been giving her vitamins and hand feeding her but I just don't see her getting better.

I don't know why I ended up with so many full term chicks dead in the shell. I had a total of 9 fully formed dead chicks! Its frustrating. Might be time to shop for a different incubator.

This was my first time getting eggs off of Ebay...not sure if I will do it again!
Just hanging out now and waiting for the others to make an appearance to see what color they come out! Have two others that are pipped, and 7 not doing anything yet.

Well it looks like I lost all of my birds. Not suprized with 3 power outages and the bulb burning out on my Brower. All showed great signs of growth but a lot of bad luck in the last couple days. Going to leave them till New Years, but not holding my breath.
