Christmas hatch! Who's in?

Had 6 chicks hatch out of the 6 that made it to lock down. Last one this morning needed a bit of help as the others were pecking her hard eonough to leave red marks. had to leave for work this morning and did some fast shuffling to get the 5 fluffy butts into the brooder and left the last one to dry in the bator un molested. Hope she makes it.

I will keep the hope. The part that sucks the most is the Booted Bantams have completly turned off egg laying in this cold weather. So I won't have any more eggs till it warms up.

Last chick made it. I did have to give her a bath last night and blow her dry. When I put her in with the ohters, they pecked at her feet and she popped them back and plowed intot he middle of the group and cudlled up to them.

Well I Lost them all. After a closerlook inside the eggs looks like most quit after the first power outage. 2 made through that but didn't make it through the blown heat light in the last few days.............Oh well I guess we try again when we have more eggs.

I hadn't been checking in because I rarely saw this thread up. I started with 14, 5 went into lockdown and they didn't even make noise for an extra 2 days.

But none hatched. I hate when none hatch.

Good to see all the chicks here though.
