I'm going crazy and have no finger nails left..gonna have to start chewing my toe nails... Ducklings chirping their heads of and starting to zip but ever soooo slowly.

temps keep flucating from 97 to 100 in still air so not sure what temp is at their level....

I'm gonna have to ask Santa for a bottle of hair color to cover the gray I got from this

any suggestions

Yay for everyone! I have 10 out. 3 are pipped. Everything has kind of come to a halt. I'm worried I might have quite a few dead in the shell. Still have 15 to go and they aren't doing anything. Going to a family get together- maybe I will have some more chicks by the time we get back- staring at the bator is giving me a headache! Merry Chickmas, everyone! I will try to post pics later tonight.

I have a couple more pips I am still waiting on. So far, I have 5 Icelandics, 2 Delawares, 6 BCMarans out. I have a picture of the Icelandics.

I set them at 4pm on 12/3 - so a full 21 days as of this afternoon.

Update - It's 3am Christmas morning and I have 2 pips. One Australorp and one mystery egg. The mystery egg pipped around 8pm last night. When I just checked, the crack had grown, so there's hope there. The Australorp actually chipped a piece off so I can see into the shell. S/he is still breathing so there's hope I'll get at least one.

My first hatch rate was 60%....using a still air LG. Being new, didn't pay enough attention to humidity like I should have. This time, doing a better job of it and yesterday(Christmas eve) had one hatch and a lot or pips. This morning(Christmas morning) I have ten hatched and playing egg soccer. Got a few more pips too. I ran about 50% the whole time and upped it to 70% humidity for lockdown. Today is day 20 so according to my figures, had one on day 19.

All of them are Partridge rocks from my own hens.
