Christmas Hatch

Hopefully they are getting ready to hatch finally got an internal pip last night but nothing other so far, thinking they are late cause this time had a few temp drops, that's al ot better than sever spikes though. Patience is starting to wear thin but letting em go first hatch only one that made it was hatched at day 25

If you haven't already check out the assisted hatching guide. Has good information as to the times different parts of the hatch should take and how to help if things stall but the chick is still alive. Also if you aren't sure, got to the forum that is linked in the article, they are super helpful.

Four little Muscovy chicks! Our duck was hidden in the front yard of all places, so we had no idea when she started setting so we got a surprise on Christmas Eve. Five hatched out, mama squished one. The other 12 eggs in her nest were bad and she abandoned the nest and moved her living babies under a different bush. It was a real struggle moving them into a pen in the backyard. Lol.

Congrats on the babies! Always a nice surprise!

Good luck to you in lockdown and waiting. I'm rooting for the hatches to turn out very succesful!
