Christmas Wish List-2013

Ooh Destinduck, you will have to show us photos of your pen now!
So you are still looking for a Java hen? Well I really do hope Santa brings you one!

I could do it now but i must warn ya, Its really bare bones.Gimme a coupla weeks and I will. I am in the process of planting stuff and putting down winter rye. They will probably mow it down or eat it all but im going to give it ago. The ponds gotta be cleaned and filled up too. Then that would be a much better photo, It turned out to be bigger than I thought. Which is always a good thing. It looks good compared to my other pen building skills. LOL! My friend got a female for one of his Java males finally. I could get one now but would have to pay premium price. Im really just wanting a companion for him. Im trying to get one right now with the babies/eggs if any going to said person for a better deal. Cause like I said before I really dont want anymore peafowl. Im too into my waterfowl. And African Pygmies STILL beckon to me!!! It would be me raising and feeding the pair and him getting all the offspring for free. It would benefit both of us I think. Also I guess if me and my birds work hard this spring at raising and selling more pheasants and waterfowl.I could pay the bigger price anyhoo. Dont cha just love fuzzy bird math.

Haha okay I understand. It sounds like a nice pen though. I understand about what you are saying about not wanting more peafowl. I think if I ever get other kinds of birds peafowl will still be my main focus just like waterfowl are yours. I just google imaged what African Pygmies are...At first it brought up a type of king fisher looking bird, but then I saw the photo of the goose. I love this photo: http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6155/6163558950_4091f50d62_z.jpg

I can definately see why you would want some of those! Good luck with all the pretty birds on your wishlist. I like what you are wanting!

Santa came early this year. My peafowl are finally in their new house and loving it! It's not quite done yet...still have the wiring to finish and water barrels to put in, but they don't seem to mind. They're out of the cold, have a 5' high roost and windows to look out of. As soon as the wiring is done, they will have a heated roost to help them get through this cold Maine winter.

Oh when you have time you should post some pictures of their new house!

Ooh just thought of something else I want to add to my dream Christmas wish list...
