Chuck and Buck are in Tahoe!

Do you tell them apart by their bills? Looks like one has a lighter colored bill. I've been wondering what the identifying visual differences are

Afternoon on the lake. I went kayaking. They joined me. Unfortunately they found a good spot for eating bugs/algae/whatever it was. They didn’t want to leave.

Yes. Chuck has a brighter, oranger bill where Buck is much more pale. Their head/eye shape are a little different, too.
Personalities are very different. Buck is our snuggle boy and Chuck is pretty sassy.

And if anyone is interested, you can follow Daddy Ducks 21.3 mile swim of the length of Lake Tahoe starting Saturday at midnight.

This is the link to his tracker. There are two swimmers before him (So if it doesn’t say James at the top, it’s not him). His will be live Saturday night starting around midnight and should take about 12 hours to complete. Once completed he will earn two more world records (bringing his total to 12)

It’s a solo swim. He will get the record as the youngest person to accomplish the swim. He will also earn the Lake Tahoe Triple Crown as he’s already completed 2/3 swims required for the Triple Crown. Again, youngest person to earn that title.

How old is daddy duck now?
I still find it hilarious, great and appropriate that a kid with such a passion for swimming has special pet ducks!

Well, we are here! Actually we are at the campgrounds in Truckee until Daddy Duck’s big swim Saturday night/Sunday. The boys love it here. We got a campsite right on the water and they are loving running back and forth to the lake.
And for an extra fun picture, Chuck upgraded his boat. This one has a “glass bottom” and a steering wheel that honks! We found it at the lake my son trains at every day. Chuck LOVES it! We didn’t bring his boat with us though. Excuse the girly colors..... one can’t choose freebie boats and Chuck doesn’t seem to mind. Did I mention the horn honks? Lol

One more thing... Does Chuck honk that horn? I would love to see a video of him doing that!

James, Daddy Duck, is 14
He was dubbed Superduck when he was little for being such a fantastic swimmer. That started the duck obsession. He’d had it in his mind for 6 years that he would someday have two ducks named Chuck and Buck. His dream finally came true!
