Chuck and Buck go to Lake Tahoe

Pics
Thanks for following and sharing in our Duck Camping adventure. We all had a blast and really look forward to our next one. I'll have to come up with somewhere fun to go with them. DaddyDuck has a birthday coming up so we will be hitting the road pretty soon!

And thanks for the kind words for DaddyDuck James. He's very proud of himself. We are pretty proud of him. If you want to see his quick news clips, you can find it here.

DaddyDuck is just awesome.
Congratulations!

Congrats to Daddyduck, keep having new goals to conquer! Big drag that people were harassing him about the ducks. It may be good to write out a very short educational statement for him to memorize in case it happens again, something like this." This is a domestic duck breed called a Pekin, they have been domesticated for (blank, because I don't know) years. We have raised these ducks from small ducklings. Thank you for your concern, I agree ducks should not be taken from the wild." There will always be morons out there, but sometimes just a little education can go a long way. One thing I wonder about, when in the campground, do you worry about loose dogs? I'm sure they're supposed to be on leash, but there's always that one person who things rules aren't meant for them. I really do agree their adventures would make a great children's book.

He did a good job of sticking up for his boys in a polite manner. He thinks it's funny most of the time.

At campgrounds, Chuck and Buck are never unsupervised. 99% of the time they are within arms reach (they're pansies and afraid to go much further). Once in a blue moon they travel a bit further but then the wind blows and they come speed waddling back. Lol

If I had know anyone was so close we would have had you over for dinner and fun! We stayed at Tahoe Valley Campgrounds so we didn't have the boys at the lake. We actually only went twice.... once on Wednesday to get a quick pre - swim in and we went out on the boat so the boys stayed back in the RV. Then we went Thursday for the actual swim and they couldn't go because we couldn't keep an eye on them and the boy! Unfortunately Chuck and Buck didn't get to swim
In the lake this time. They would have loved it! And I definitely wouldn't have been as worried about them diving.
Thanks so much for the invite, you are very kind! Actually, I'm not really that close, it is more like a hop up the 5, a skip through the woods, and a jump over the mountain to Lake Tahoe from here... But I love the place and used to go quite a bit when my daughter attended college in Stockton... Kind of miss it now! And seeing Chuck and Buck on a road trip would have been a really great additional attraction! I'll look forward to hearing about the next "Roadtrip with Chuck and Buck"!

Ha! That's how I get to Tahoe. I live in Los Banos, right off of 5!
