Chukar hatch

I've been working on raising a few Chukar for meat over the past year or so & have started to get a few eggs. Decided to try & hatch a few of my own eggs & to my surprise had a couple of solid white birds hatch.Lost one of them but the other is doing fine so far. Any info on the white/albino mutation would be appreciated.

They look like albinos they are very rare. I your choice but I would not butcher them if you keep them and hatch out chicks you can sell the chicks for $75 a pice and if you don't want them maybe I can buy them from you. Because I have a place that I have quail and pheasants but I would not be able to have them till like late may

This may not be important to you either way: Albino-ism is usually caused from inbreeding. In the wild these off spring rarely survive due to illness and other birth defects, destruction via the parental, and being easy pray. In captivity there are many species of animals that are prized for their albino mutations and are breed for that. Initially that involved force inbreeding and then select breeding once there was ample selection to chose from. I'm not positive, but due to one dying, I would suggest that some of your birds are related.

There is a white or blonde chukar breed.It could also be an albino,but everyone is crossbreeding these also so you will never know what it is exactly.

Wow 126.00 a pair?That is a ridiculous price for a chukar.Better check around before you buy from them.I would buy bamboos for that kinda money.That place is hi on everything,137.50 for a pair of red goldens.I wish I could get that I could retire after 1 hatching season.

very nice,, i also have a pair of albino chuckars ,, but been tryin go to breed them , from what im been told only lay eggs in March ..... how you get yours to lay eggs in December ? whats your setup ?

lol tony your so funny....pretty much every online place sells there goldens for over a hundred dollars...even the peaches which are not pure sell for 200-300 a pair...weird but true...if you know people you get great deals...if you don't know people and go online your forced to pay hi dollars

Just sold all my albino adults for $25 each. Not a rare bird anymore. You can go on eBay furring laying season and get 6 eggs for $30.

As for the red goldens yea over $100 is way to high unless it is a proven breeding pair or a f1 bird. I agree with tony that I would retire also after one season if I got that much.
