Ciao from central Italy

Hi from the hills above the Adriatic coast, and the hills are steep! So over the last few months I have put to good use a slope beneath my koi pond and set up a 1330 sq ft aviary, the runoff from the filtration helps to keep part of the soil moist and suitable for marsh vegetation. It currently houses a pair of wood ducks, one of white mandarins, a juvenile pair of ancestral mandarins and the only two serama hens that the foxes did not get. Possibly considering getting a pair of Red Breasted Geese. I have a separate pen for 3 Sussex hens and a bunny. In the past we had runner ducks and Brahma chicken. Still unseasonably warm, about 77F today, it gets up to 100 in the summer but in winter we can get anything between a dusting of snow and 3' dumps
Ciao. I am first generation American. My family is in Bruno Italy. Your ducks and chickens are beautiful.

Thank you to all who have welcomed me. Here is where we live, the birds are on the slope below the koi pond, the mountain in the background is the Gran Sasso, tallest peak in Italy outside the Alps at just under 10k ft asl, beach is 15 miles the other way. Ciao
