Cicada Brood X coming!

The cicadas are here in Montgomery County MD and super loud. My girls have stopped laying this week so I'm wondering if the noise is getting to them. As for other cicada questions - they eat them like crazy, running out from their coop in the AM to feast in the bushes.

The cicadas are so loud here in Cincinnati. Ours don’t free range (but are out and about in the early evening) but each morning my husband collects a bunch of them dropping them into a bucket of clover. Our hens look at mealworms the way I would. However, cicadas are a gourmet treat. We got our very first eggs today, so I don’t think they’re too bothered by the noise, although the mornings are a little quieter.
