Cicadas: zip code + Emerging? Chicken Behavior? Any seen?

In SW Ohio and they’ve really started coming out in the last week. Chickens are turning into fluffy little cicada serial killers.

I didn't know chickens like cicada bugs! Mine don't free range, so I guess I will be the one hunting them. I do sometimes purchase live crickets from the pet store just for fun.

I’ll try to get some pics today. I did see one of my chickens swallow one whole yesterday so definitely eating them too! Little piggies indeed haha

I'm excited for ours to emerge only for the excitement of the girls! I have seen a few maps that have us in their area and a few in which I am too far north, but I hope they are here!
