Our 24 week old Cinnamon Queen has a bald patch that is scaly or scabby. The feathers seem to be gone but the quill part is still intact. There doesn’t look to be any parasites and the 14 other hens don’t have anything. They are in 8x8 coop, fenced in back yard or free range 5 acres when we are home. We do not have a rooster. I can’t find anything online or in books that explain it. Any thoughts?

I would treat for lice as it sounds like something might be irritating her - good to do this twice a year. Go and look with a flashlight at night under her wings and near her vent. It won’t hurt the flock even if it isn’t lice or mites. Could be molting, but looks different from the molts I’ve seen. In this latter case, the feathers should come back in shortly.

Does her other wing have a bald patch too?
Do you see her picking at that a lot or have you observed the other birds picking at it?

It's always a good idea to inspect for lice/mites too - look at night.
