Circle of Life for a chicken

I just witnessed the "circle of life" for a chicken...I watched one of our chickens that we saw hatching from her egg, lay an egg! Very exciting!

Hope she lays a lot of them all summer long. She picked a pretty cold day to start her laying, didn't she?

Well hopefully this means my hens will start laying since I live in Michigan too. Congrats on your new layer!
