City of Ashes RP ~~Players Needed~~

(Sorry, when i'm at school, I'm only on occasionally.)
Cable felt himself redden slightly, unsure of how to respond to that, "Um, okay..." He said, almost unsure of himself. He wasn't sure he would be able to do it with the actual sword yet and was a little nervous about that.

After a few feet, Lee seemed to be swallowed up by the dark surroundings. Soon he came to a small clearing, this was the other place he wen, if the lake was occupied, if he was upset. Some areas on the ground and around eye level that were blackened. He sighed a little when he saw this, but returned his attention to the task at hand. There was a tree to his left and right that had slash marks in them. He pulled out his swords, finalizing his idea.

Done with her search, Emily climbed back down the tree, dropping easily from the branch to the ground. Looking around, she saw nothing to do and decided to practice her own weapon skills. She had scavenged her two daggers from a building a few days ago. She had also found a smaller sort of a sword, but the blade had been too dull and bent. The daggers she had found were surprisingly in good shape, because it had been kept in a sealed case.
Slipping into the trees silently, she went and found an slightly cleared area. She slid her daggers out of the sheaths in her boots, testing the balance of the simple, but effective dagger. Balancing around once more, just to make sure no one was around, she aimed and threw, with a flick of her wrist, and sent it thudding into her choosen target on a tree.

Jen patiently worked with him. He was pretty good. "Good job soldier" she smiled and patted him in the back.

Lee froze slightly when he heard a thunk, he looked around curiously before heading in the direction, careful to keep himself silent. When he neared the clearing that Emily was in, he paused for a moment before glancing inside. When he saw it was Emily, he withdrew, returning to his own little clearing. He pulled out his own swords, turning to the tree on the right. They were still latched together, for a second, he stretched slightly, then attacked the tree in a flurry. He did this for a moment, trying to get into a rhythm, then flicked the latch with his finger, letting the swords fall apart. Then resumed his attack without a break in his rhythm, which was, at the moment, fairly slow. He repeated the same thing, trying to increase the speed of his handling each time.

"Thanks!" Cable said, shaking off his surprise and embarrassment from her comment. He decided that he would go searching through the city, probably tomorrow when it was lighter. Maybe he could find something there that the others somehow overlooked.

She smiled and walked towards the fire.

Keeping her other dagger in her hand, Emily retrieved her other dagger from the tree, deciding to practice her cross blade defense. She paused a moment, listening to the thudding to her right, which sounded like a sword to a tree. Probably someone practicing their sword.
She started her usual practice for her defense. Often, on nights alone, she'd practice it, locking the base of the blades together, crossed like an X in front of her, so in the case of a sword doing an overcut, her daggers would stop the blade, blocking the cut.

Lee paused, slowing his breathing. Then after a moment's hesitation and a surge of determination, he kept at it, moving faster and faster. It was exceptionally difficult. He'd started with a slow pace so he could get the hang of it somewhat, but he needed to be able to do it without a moment's hesitation. The slink of blade on blade and thunk of wood on tree came at more of a rapid tempo. He stopped, thinking that he had most likely killed the tree. With a twinge of regret, he continued to practice on it, some ruts in it's wood deepening and other hits scraping off new bark. If he was going to kill a tree or injure it this badly, it ma as well be only one.

"Hmmmm...." Emily flipped her dagger in the air, catching it by the hilt. She had many faded scars on her palm, a mystery to be sure. Although she suspected it was from failed attempts from throwing her dagger, a few looked like burns, but she couldn't be sure.
Her practice wasn't exactly working. Sure, she learned to move the blades together fluidly, but she hadn't ever actually tried it with another person, so she didn't know if her technique worked well enough. Tipping her head, an idea formed in her mind. Maybe she could practice with someone here, since there were a few people in the camp that had skills with a sword. Making up her mind, she silently walked to her right. Following the noise as she stayed in the shadow. She came to a stop just inside the trees as she washed Lee practice his sword for a moment. He looked to have some good skill, but not so lightning fast that she wouldn't be able to block. Maybe she could ask to practice with him...
