Autumn shrugged and took the lead. She had put the makeshift torches in an empty spot in her quiver where there was an absence of arrows, and had her bow in her hands, in case if she needed to shoot. She walked along the path, which, from the tree she had been in, she could see that it eventually led to the city. I know it's not the way the crow flies, but it has the least chance of us getting lost. she thought. Elisha closely followed Autumn, his hand on the hilt of his sword. He couldn't help but feel jumpy. The elongating shadows made everything feel kind of... eerie. He involuntarily shuddered. His instructions kept repeating in his mind, even though the chip had stopped transmitting it a long while ago. He just kept turning the words over and over in his mind, trying to understand them.
