City of Ashes RP ~~Players Needed~~

Garret nodded and reached to lift Elishia "Let's get the others and get out of here before we get burnt." He said, moving him into a fireman's carry over his shoulders.

Jo stayed near the others. The fire was seriously messing up his vision, colors and brightness all around him. His only chance of navigating clearly was by relying on others.

Elisha woke, eyes opening a bit, closing, then opening up again as he became aware of the brightness and the heat.

Kody was in the middle of the forest when he woke up, fire blazing around him. There was no way for him to get out he accepted defeat and kneeled on the ground as the flames pushed towards him. He looked around sadly

Emily couched roughly as she sat up from her sleeping place by a tree. Smoke stung her eyes as she tried to look around, making them water. Scrambling to her feet into a crouch, she looked around, trying to see through the orange-gray haze. Throwing her bag over her shoulder, she coughed again and saw a few of the other campers running towards the hill. Quickly, she ran to catch up, stumbling slightly, dizzy.

Jo could've sworn he heard a small jingle, but- he instantly fell asleep, as did everybody else. None of them could fight it.

Groggy, Jo opened his eyes, to a seemingly moving brightness. Seeing his surroundings, he was instantly jolted awake. How had this happened?!? The smoke choked him. With horror, he watched the woods around them burn to ashes.
Isabella was shaken awake by Jo. "What do you- Oh my gosh!" She quickly started shaking people awake, worried.
(Ahhhhhhh magic bells! Everyone ruuuuuuunnnnnn! Is the fire from the direction of the lake or is it pushing them towards the Lake?)
Cable's eyes opened, being half asleep, his brain didn't process anything for a moment and he wondered if it was morning. Jerking in surprise as his surroundings registered, he jumped down from the tree, almost landing on Lee who was in the process of getting up. His eyes alert in an instant.

Lee opened his eyes to reddish orangeish smoke clouding his vision. He rolled to a half crouched position swaying slightly as Cable came down right next to him. He had a precise knowledge of what to do during a forest fire. He covered his mouth with his jacket and motioned for Cable to do the same. His eyes were cast around the camp, looking for those still asleep. Feeling the whole thing was somehow his fault.
(Who's asleep?)
((It's actually pushing them toward the hill where they started))

Isabella noticed that the fire would soon be spreading to the camp. She looked at Cable. "We need to leave as soon as we can!" she yelled in his direction, forgetting that yelling make her lips almost unreadable.
(Elisha's asleep still)

(If only he was by the time I got here. Beatrix could've kicked him awake. It would have been funny.)

Garret jerked awake and coughed when he heard the others stirring. He shook the sleep from his head and started climbing down quickly to get to the ground. Once there he covered his mouth and nose with his shirt and looked around "To the hill, it's the only path open to us" He yelled and went over to Cable to take his arm and make a 'come' gesture as he turned to head for the hill.

Beatrix whispered a vulgar swear through the shirt covering her mouth and nose. Right back to where we started. I really don't like this…

Windy gripped Cole's arm as he tugged her along, moving far faster than she could.

Jasper glared at the sky momentarily. A little warning would've been nice!

Isabella looked at Garrett. "No, we have to get everybody else up first!"
"Who's still asleep?" Garret asked and looked to her then around the camp, counting heads. Since the twins were missing that only left "Elisha" He said and headed for him "We have to get everyone out of here" He said and glanced to Isabella again
Cable stared at Isabella confused. He jumped in surprise when Garret grabbed his arm but followed him. He was confused and could feel the rumbling of the fire through the soles of his shoes.

Lee coughed slightly as his lungs tried to dispell the smoke that he had breathed while unconcious. He sprinted over to where Elisha was and tried to wake him up.
Jen coughed and tried to find the group.
Elisha roused slightly, but not enough to get up or register the fire.
Garret leaned down and roughly shook Elisha to wake him "Come on, we have to go now" He said and looked around again "Jen, over here" Who else was missing?
Jen ran over , her lungs burning."we got everyone?"
Lee looked at the others. "Carry him?" He asked, his voice muffled by his jacket. He looked around the camp once more, spotting Beatrix and (what was her other character?).
Garret nodded and reached to lift Elishia "Let's get the others and get out of here before we get burnt." He said, moving him into a fireman's carry over his shoulders.

((Okay, so for the purpose of the plot, I'm taking momentary partial control over Gertrude's characters; They're acting as they would in the situation))

(*grumble-a-la-grumble* Okay, at least they're acting normally. ;) )

Lee ran over to where Beatrix (still haven't told me her other haracter's name) where knocked out. He shook their arms, checking both for signs of waking. The smoke was making him light headed and slightly frantic.

(Knocked out, my toe! {Also, I have four characters: Beatrix, Jasper, Windy and Cole.})

Beatrix watched the others, doing a mental head count. That's everyone. She stayed at the back of the group, then sped up to drag Emily along, "Let's go, girlfriend. Get ahead. Go!"
