I live in Rancho Cordova Ca. and had my chicks ere we became a city a few yrs ago. Went to re register my dogs through our new city and told them I had chickens. Was told I was not able to have them. I told them that they would have to grandfather me in for I have had my chickens ere they became a city. They said that they would contact me in a few months after they contacted their lawyers......
Told them that due to a rare illness I have a need for a high protein intake and eggs are best. Got a docs note and all. Told them they would have a fight on their hands. Its been way over a year since I have heard from them... If you have your chicks for a long time and no neighbors are griping and you can prove it ... you should be able to fight it. Ordinances or not!!

Could you please share with me what you found? I have read everything but I could not determine whether chickens are allowed in West Covina, Ca. I will appreciate it very much!
